Some
days are dark days. You were never supposed to carry the weight of the pain of
the world; but you can be a stargazer: one who looks, intently, for signs of
light in the darkness – and who redirects their life to follow the light, and
so to carry the light.
Whenever
we are rudely reminded that we dwell in the long shadow of death, may we seek,
follow after, find, revere, and point others to the light that came into the
world in the incarnation of Jesus, God-with-us.
