Zechariah 10

In the margin around my day, I asked God what I should read today, and I heard him say, “Zechariah 10.” So I looked it up...

...it speaks of people who wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd being restored because God’s compassion so that they become like mighty men, with glad hearts, and children who are joyful and rejoice in the Lord...

...and it goes on to say that they will pass through the sea of trouble, strengthened in the Lord and walking in his name...

I am making a note of it, so that I don’t forget what God wanted to speak to me about this morning.

Lord, in your compassion, restore to me gladness of heart, and to my children joy, that we might take strength as we follow you. Amen.
