The Church is no less
conflicted, no less corrupt, than any other group of people - and that ought to
keep us in a place of honesty and humility. The Church is no more conflicted,
no more corrupt, than any other group of people - and that ought to give us cause
to remain. The Church is faithless, and faithful. Ugly, and beautiful. And
loved. Loved with a transforming love. We rail against paradox, and yet we need
to embrace it, for only then can we be embraced.
