In the beginning,
hope is the womb of justice, and mercy, and peace.
But then, hope must
become their nursery, their school-room.
Mother, nurse,
governess.
Behind every great
deed stands hope.
In the beginning,
hope – of what was not, coming into being – gave birth to our world.
And,
fully consistent with the nature of hope, the Word of Hope – Let there be light! Let there be life! – entered the womb,
the nursery, the school-room...Hope took on flesh, took on human form, human
expression, human activity in the world in partnership with God’s activity,
growing...
