Christmas is for every tribe and tongue.
Wyclif was an early champion of translating the Bible into the language of the people. He personally translated the four Gospels into English, and gathered a team of translators to produce the entire Bible in the English language, where previously the Bible in its entirety had only been available in Latin (for clerics) or French (for the aristocracy).
