O you planets, on your sure
Orbits – set at his command – now
rolling into rare alignment;
in unison proclaim the news
entrusted to your care:
now is the time: earth’s
saviour is revealed!
O Oriens
O Morning Star,
splendour of light eternal and sun of righteousness:
Come and enlighten those who dwell in darkness
and the shadow of death.
