I have a particular interest in the people-gifts of apostles,
prophets, evangelists, pastors (or, shepherds), and teachers, as found in Paul’s
letter to the Ephesians (sometimes referred to as ‘five-fold’ ministry or APEST
ministry).
Below are a series of links to papers I have written on this
subject.
Link to a dissertation I have
written on recovering the ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors, and teachers in the local church, in which I engage with the writings
of missiologists Alan Hirsch and Mike Breen, and sociological commentator
Malcolm Gladwell. This paper was cited in The Permanent Revolution by
Alan Hirsch & Tim Catchim (Jossey-Bass, 2012) and 5Q: Reactivating
the Original Intelligence and Capacity of the Body of Christ by Alan
Hirsch (100M, 2017).
